Madonna - Integrated notification for educational publishers

 

Using this fully integrated and comprehensive web-based notification portal, educational publishers can send notifications of use of copyrighted content to each respective collection society, saving them valuable time by replacing many steps with a single click. The integration of a PDF version of the notification of used content has led to a further facilitation of notification and of the verification of correctness for the publishers as well as for collection societies. Madonna was successfully launched at the end of 2005. By early 2009 app. 150 publishers had already generated and sent about 600,000 notifications of use to the responsible collection societies through Madonna.
